Cars and freight are electrifying faster than most European cities can roll out the charging infrastructure to support them. The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) sets deployment targets for public charging along TEN-T corridors; municipalities are responsible for the kerb-side and depot charging needed for everyday use.
