Climate Tech Hub e.V. is a Berlin-based non-profit network dedicated to positioning the Berlin-Brandenburg region as a leading centre for climate technology innovation. Founded as a registered association (eingetragener Verein), it brings together startups, investors, energy providers, municipal utilities, corporates, and public-sector leaders working at the intersection of climate technology, urban transformation, and digital infrastructure.
The organisation's flagship initiative is the annual Urban Innovation Forum, held in Berlin since 2023, which has grown into one of Europe's most relevant satellite events for urban innovation, energy systems, and the future of cities. The 2026 edition brought together over 350 carefully selected participants at CIC Berlin for a day of curated discussions on mobility, energy systems, procurement reform, and resilience. The forum operates as a cross-sector platform connecting founders with institutional capital and city decision-makers.
Climate Tech Hub's members span the entire renewable energy value chain, from deep-tech startups developing novel grid management solutions to established utilities piloting decarbonisation strategies. The network facilitates deal flow, co-development partnerships, and policy dialogue between Berlin's climate tech ecosystem and municipal stakeholders across Europe.
The organisation also runs thematic programmes on urban innovation, publishes landscape mappings of the Berlin climate tech scene, and supports early-stage ventures through connections to accelerators and investor networks. It operates from The Drivery in Berlin-Tempelhof, a mobility and urban tech campus, and collaborates closely with Berlin Partner, the Berlin Senate, and European Regional Development Fund programmes.
