The Urban Innovation Forum 2026, organised by Climate Tech Hub e.V., took place on 19 March 2026 at CIC Berlin. Now in its fourth edition, the forum has established itself as one of Europe's most relevant satellite events for urban innovation, energy systems, and the future of cities. Over 350 carefully selected participants — founders, investors, energy providers, municipal utilities, corporates, public-sector leaders, and international delegations — gathered for a day of curated discussions, keynotes, and networking.
The 2026 programme focused on cross-sector challenges at the intersection of Climate Tech, Urban Transformation, Mobility, Energy Systems, and Digital Infrastructure. Key themes included city resilience and climate adaptation, energy system integration, smart procurement reform, and the role of deep-tech startups in urban decarbonisation. The forum's format emphasised direct exchange between entrepreneurs and institutional decision-makers, with structured matchmaking and roundtable sessions designed to generate concrete collaboration outcomes.
Partners and supporters included Berlin Partner, the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, and several European city delegations exploring Berlin's approach to climate technology and urban innovation. The event also featured participation from the Reiner Lemoine Institut, All Things Urban, and other European urban innovation networks.
The Urban Innovation Forum is part of Climate Tech Hub e.V.'s broader mission to position Berlin-Brandenburg as a global centre for climate technology innovation, complementing the organisation's year-round network activities, landscape mappings, and startup support programmes.
