Urban Impact and the Nordic Cities Network announce a strategic partnership to accelerate digital transformation across Scandinavian and Central European municipalities.
We are delighted to announce a strategic partnership between Urban Impact and the Nordic Cities Network (NCN) — one of Northern Europe's most influential municipal cooperation platforms.
This partnership will combine Urban Impact's expertise in ecosystem building and digital platform development with NCN's deep connections across Scandinavian municipalities, creating new pathways for cross-border knowledge exchange and collaborative innovation.
The partnership launches with three concrete initiatives:
The Helsinki-Vienna Digital Twin Exchange will pair urban planners from both cities to share approaches to 3D city modelling. The Copenhagen-Berlin Smart Mobility Corridor will explore cross-border data sharing for sustainable transport. And a joint research paper on participatory governance in smart cities will be published later this year.
"Working with the Nordic Cities Network allows us to amplify the impact of the Smart Cities Hub across some of Europe's most innovative municipalities." — Jonas Schorr
This partnership brings the number of organisations collaborating through the Smart Cities Hub to over 60, spanning 22 countries. It is exactly this kind of cross-border cooperation that the platform was built to enable.
