Greencity Zürich is a sustainable urban district in south-west Zurich on the former Sihl-Manegg industrial site. Developed by Losinger Marazzi AG with the City of Zurich, SwissLife, and Bricks Immobilien, it features designs by Gigon/Guyer Architekten, EM2N, and others.
Spanning 8 hectares, the district accommodates 2,200 residents and 3,000 jobs across 729 residential units, offices, shops, a hotel, and community facilities. Greencity is Switzerland's first certified 2000-Watt Site, incorporating photovoltaics generating over 500 kWp and small-scale hydropower, with Minergie-P-Eco certification.
As a smart city demonstrator, Greencity integrates intelligent building management, shared mobility services, and digital energy monitoring, embodying Zurich's commitment to resource-efficient, data-driven urban living at district scale.
